Inquiry task
This is my Inquiry task. For this I was talking about Keeping our sea life safe from plastic so I was talking about what happens to the animals when they get hurt by plastic and how we could make that problem better. I really enjoyed doing this task because I learnt a lot and I also loved doing this task because I did it with my mum.

Matariki art
Matariki art
This is our matariki art that we have been doing in our class. Some kids in our hub couldn’t do it because they were at maori games. We each had four people in our group. I had Me, Sophia, Liske and Tyla. As you already know matariki has seven stars so Sophia did three, Tyla did two, Liske did one because she did the background and I did the big one because that took a while so I couldn’t do two.

Whanau art
I am blogging this because I really enjoyed making this art and I also love my family.
This is my Whanau art. We did this task with Mrs Morris. It was really fun because we had to design koru’s of our family. The green one is my Dad, The light blue one is my Mum, The purple one is me, The dark pink one is my sister Maddie and the light pink one is my sister Caroline. So I did my Dad green because I just thought it would be a good colour, I did my Mum light blue because I love it so I thought she would love it too, I did myself purple because I love purple, I did my sister, Maddie, dark pink because she has got a lot of pink stuff in her room. I did my sister Caroline light pink because she suits pink.

Nelson lakes reading task week 7
I am blogging this because I was really proud of the work I put into it. We were learning to talk about how the boys feelings went from 10, 5 and 1. 10 was when they were happy, 5 was when they were in the middle and 1 was when they were sad.
This is my reading task for week 7. It was all about two boys going to school to see a new All Black's player at their school but they got interrupted by Liam's (one of the boys) next door neighbour so they missed their chance of getting their rugby balls signed. But after school they had to help Mrs Wilding but something great happened.... They got to see the new all blacks player called Corban at Mrs Wilding's house because she is a friend of Corbans. We had to rate their feelings. It was out of 10, 5 and 1 it was a little bit hard but it was still a fun task.

My camp letter
This is my post for this week. Its about me saying thank to Fiona for coming on camp.
21 May 2015
Dear Fiona,
I just wanted to say thank you so much for coming to camp. You were a very good helper and you always had a smile on your face. Whenever someone was sad you always offered to help or asked what's wrong and that is why you're such a kind person.
When Lippy had you for Masterchef I thought you were a very good helper. and only when we needed your help. When Lippy didn't have an idea, you had an idea and I thought that was very sweet.
So thank you so much Fiona for all your help. Have a great year.

Rhino report
Intro
A Rhino is a large endangered animal. Here are some interesting and cool facts about Rhino’s.
Appearance
Rhino’s skin is so thick. It is protective from bites, sunlight and wounds. Humans are mammals. There are 5 different species of rhino’s. These are the rhino’s Greater one horned rhino, Black rhino, Sumatran rhino, White rhino and Javan rhino. Rhino’s have big horns on their noses. Rhino’s weigh 1000 kgs and 3500 kgs.
Diet
Rhino’s love to eat trees, leaves and grass and the funny thing is they can only eat plants but if they want to they can eat meat. Rhinos eat up to 190 to 200 different types of plants and bark.
Natural Habitat
Rhino’s get hunted by few predators. 3 out of 5 Rhino’s are critically endangered and who is ever doing this should stop because it is really mean for the Rhinos. Rhinos live in Africa and Southern Asia. Rhinos love to stay in grassy plains and rain forests.
Behaviour
Rhinos love to roll in the mud to keep cool. Rhinos use their horns to dig into ground for roots bulbs. Rhinos eat at night and rest all day. Rhinos have groups and the name of the groups are called a herd or a crash. An Oxpecker is really mean to the rhino because they take ticks off their bodies. Rhinos love to stay 5 km from the water.
Conclusion
This was really really fun to write because it was really interesting learning more about rhinos.

Reading task
Down behind our place flows the muddy old river. I often go there after school and watch the sticks and leaves drift sluggishly past.
One time I found a plastic drink bottle stranded on the green slime.
Noticing something different about the bottle, I fished it out. Cutting the bottle open, I pulled out a piece of paper. On the paper was written this letter.
125 Riverside Road
Wakanui
New Zealand
Dear friend,
If you find this letter please write to me. I have brown hair and am 9 years old. Please write to me, specially if you live in Australia or America. I don't have many friends here.
Love from
Amy Brown
"What a laugh," I thought. Amy Brown lives just up the river from us. She's in my class, too. Amy is strange and she really doesn't have many friends. She's often away from school, and the kids only take notice of her if they want to tease her, or want something from her, like money for ice blocks.
I put her letter in my pocket to show it around at school.
But by the end of the week that letter was still in my pocket. I supposed that really, like Amy, I was a bit lonely, too. Or perhaps I just didn't have enough courage to be that mean.
What about her letter?
On Saturday morning I got another empty drink bottle and poked her letter into it. I screwed the top tightly on and biked down the road carrying it.
From the old wharf by the factories, I threw the bottle far out into the tide. The water there was swift enough to carry it out to sea at least.
That was last year.
Amy is still in my class and she still seems lonely. I haven't heard about the letter. But then, that sort of mail can take ages to get to Australia or America.
